Celebration  Service

After the Service there was a balloon launch from the church car park.

 

70 balloons-one for each year of the church’s life were released by Bishop David and Lucy Dearn. Lucy was present at the Consecration Service on November 20th 1937.

 

After many weeks of waiting, two were returned from the Normandy region of France.

The first was found in his garden by  M. Jean Michel Delaunay in Bourg Dun, and the other in a local wood by M. Alain Leblond of Baons le Comte.

THERE WAS AN EXHIBITION WHICH HAD A‘DARKNESS TO LIGHT’ THEME AND FEATURED FLOWER DISPLAYS
